I am gaining a better understanding of 'layering'. I like the color choices in this, but the water got a 'muddy'.
I like the birds. I also like the boat, but I need to work on scale.
I did not sketch this before painting. I will be sure to sketch my next attempt.

Kudos to you! Love it. Great fun, right?
Did I tell you my mother was a painter...oils, mostly? She did some beautiful work, sold a lot of paintings, gave some away.
What was really sad was that in her later years her memory tended to fail her and on occasion she couldn't remember giving a painting away and wanted them back...
