Roadside Memorials
I am starting a new photographic project: Roadside Memorials.
It seems families in Alabama are not satisfied with the plain white crosses seen along American roadsides to memorialize loved ones that lost their lives in automobile accidents. Instead families are choosing to embellish the crosses to match personalities or seasons. So today I bring to you the first photos in this project.

(3) Soldier, Husband, Father
This is the memorial that got me thinking about this project. It is about a mile from my home. The inscriptions made my cry.
